On 24 July, AMREP hosted a Victorian Government delegation to explore research and commercial leads and opportunities to partner with organisations in Tel Aviv, Israel and Boston, USA.
Sky Gross (Biomedical Director, Trade and Investment, Tel Aviv Israel) and Nathan Elia (Investment and Trade Director, Biotechnology, Life Sciences, Medical R&D and Technology, Boston USA), visited the precinct as part of a delegation from Melbourne Biomedical Precinct, Department of Premier and Cabinet.

The Victorian Government Trade and Investment Offices drive new investment and exchange opportunities between Victoria and international partners – in this case Israel and USA – and also market Victoria’s (Melbourne’s) expertise.
Dr Gross and Mr Elia met with AMREP based organisations including Baker Institute, Burnet Institute, Monash University’s Central Clinical School, 360biolabs and Nucleus Network to explore and strengthen current and future biomedical investment and trade opportunities in Tel Aviv, Israel and Boston, USA.
The visitors aim to make new connections and strengthen ties between Australia and their home bases, identify and grow biomedical research partnerships and explore commercial opportunities. Both are keen to generate trade and investment opportunities with organisations here and to work with local partners to help build growth for Victoria.

This was a great opportunity for the members at AMREP to meet and further develop relationships with international partners and, of course, with the Melbourne Biomedical Precinct.
