Research Day, held during Alfred Week, focuses on oral research presentations. A prominent figure who has made a lasting contribution to medical research is invited to present a keynote address followed by several short presentations by Alfred Research Alliance Research Prize winners.
The Research Day Keynote Address is one of the highlights of Alfred Health Week each year, and in 2019 we were delighted to welcome Professor Ricky Johnstone, Executive Director of Cancer Research at the Peter McCallum Cancer Centre, and head of its Gene Regulation Laboratory, as our keynote speaker. You can read more about Prof Johnstone and the keynote session here.
In 2018, Dr Susan Alberti delivered the keynote address. You can read more about it here.
