The Alfred Research Alliance brings together eight independent and diverse organisations to create a community of excellence for medical research and education.
We are very much defined by our co-location with The Alfred, one of Australia’s busiest hospitals, which offers acute health services in almost every specialist medical and surgical discipline.

Public transport
| Train | Prahran railway station is a short distance from the Alfred Research Alliance. Walk along Greville Street. |
| Bus | Routes 216, 219 and 220 from the city stop directly outside the main entrance of The Alfred hospital. |
| Tram | Numbers 3, 5, 6,16, 64 and 67 travel along St Kilda Road. Alight at the corner of St Kilda and Commercial Roads.
Number 72 travels along Commercial Road; there is a stop directly outside the main entrance of The Alfred hospital. |
