Alfred Research Alliance Research Week 2026

Alfred Research Alliance Research Week is an annual celebration of the world-class research, innovation and collaboration taking place across the Alfred Research Alliance. 

Bringing together researchers, clinicians, nurses, educators, students and industry partners, Research Week showcases how our unique partnership is advancing discovery and translating research into better health outcomes for communities in Australia and around the world. 

Across four days, the Alliance will host a diverse program of events designed to recognise research excellence, inspire new ideas, and foster collaboration across disciplines. From emerging discoveries and breakthrough technologies to thought-provoking discussions on the future of healthcare, Research Week is an opportunity to connect, learn and explore the challenges and opportunities shaping tomorrow's health system. 

Research for a Resilient Future 

The 2026 theme, Research for a Resilient Future, explores how research and innovation can help build healthier, more adaptable communities in an increasingly complex world. As healthcare faces challenges including climate change, emerging technologies, evolving diseases and changing community expectations, research has never been more critical in creating resilient health systems and improving lives.
