The 2026 Scientific Abstract Competition is now open, and we want your abstracts!
Whether you're advancing patient care, driving discovery, or improving health outcomes, this is your chance to showcase your research across the Alfred Research Alliance.
Submissions open today, Monday 17 August, and close Friday 18 September 2026.
Winners will be announced during Research Week 2026 and receive prize money ranging from $250 to $600, along with the opportunity to present their work at a special awards ceremony.
Director of Research, Professor Terence O'Brien, said the competition highlights the breadth and impact of research happening across the precinct.
"We have an incredibly diverse range of research across the Alfred precinct," Prof O'Brien said.
"Research Week is all about showcasing these projects and celebrating the people behind them. This competition is a fantastic opportunity for researchers to gain recognition for their work and share it with colleagues, consumers and the broader research community."
