Understanding the Openness Agreement: An information session for researchers

The Alfred Research Alliance invites researchers from across The Alfred precinct to attend an information briefing on the ANZCCART Australian Openness Agreement on Animal Research and Teaching.   

This session will provide an overview of why the Alliance is becoming a signatory to the agreement, and what this will mean for researchers working across the precinct. 

 The Openness Agreement is designed to promote greater transparency and public understanding of the role of animals in research, while supporting open and informed discussion about research practices.

  • Bella Lear, international expert and CEO of Understanding Animal Research Oceania 

  • Ursula McGinnes, Executive Director, Alfred Research Alliance Secretariat 

Researchers involved in animal research and research transparency are encouraged to attend. You will have an opportunity to ask questions and contribute to the discussion. Once signed, all eight member organisations of the Alfred Research Alliance will be dedicated to openness.

Venue: Minderoo Foundation Education Space, Ground Floor, Paula Fox Cancer and Melanoma Centre.
