- The Monash University Department of Epidemiology and Preventive Medicine (DEPM) is coordinating the ASPREE (ASPirin in Reducing Events in the Elderly) study. ASPREE is the largest primary prevention study ever undertaken in elderly Australians and will determine whether aspirin can help prevent or delay the onset of common age-related disease including cardiovascular disease.
- Research undertaken at the Alfred Department of Cardiovascular Medicine includes structural heart disease, acute coronary syndromes and non-invasive imaging
- Australian Centre for Blood Diseases – non-malignant haematology, including arterial thrombosis
