If you’re an early to mid career researcher who is committed to collaborating with others here at AMREP, you won’t want to miss the opportunity to submit a proposal for the AMREP ECMR Collaborative Seed Grants.
AMREP early-mid career research
A Monash University initiative, the grants are designed to promote collaboration between Early and Mid-Career Researchers (EMCR) from different institutions here at the Alfred precinct in Melbourne, including Alfred Health, Monash University, Melbourne Sexual Health Clinic, Monash Alfred Psychiatry Research Centre, Baker Heart & Diabetes Institute, Burnet Institute, Centre for Eye Research Australia, La Trobe University and Deakin University.
Two grants of $2000 each will be awarded to two, high quality, well outlined and innovative research proposals that support collaboration and knowledge sharing, with $1000 going to each of the organisations involved.
To be considered, you’ll need to explain how your research is innovative, why the collaboration is novel, and how the researchers who will be involved have the necessary skills to undertake this research. Given that the point of the grants is to help fund innovative research and foster lasting collaborations between institutions, the judging criteria favour appropriate skill level over track records, and genuine collaboration potential over convenient partnerships.
Applications will be accepted from all fields of research, and grant funds may be used for any purpose that facilitates an innovative research collaboration. For example, it may be used to purchase equipment or software, collect unique data, or conduct lab or medical experiments.
The Call for Proposals is now open, with submissions closing on Friday, 2 November at 5pm.
