This year, the impressive display featured more than 120 posters outlining outstanding work done by researchers at the Alfred Research Alliance and the impact of that research on health outcomes locally, nationally and internationally.

Projects covered this year include both basic and clinical research undertaken by researchers from Alfred Health, Monash University (Central Clinical School and Public Health & Preventive Medicine), the Baker Heart and Diabetes Institute, the Burnet Institute, La Trobe University and Deakin University.

A wide range of areas was covered, reflecting the research strengths evident here at the Alfred Research Alliance. This includes allergies and asthma, burns, cancer, cardiovascular disease, diabetes, gastroenterology, haematology, health services and patient safety, infectious diseases and infection control, intensive care, mental health, neuroscience, obesity, population health and epidemiology, radiotherapy, renal medicine, respiratory medicine and lung transplants and trauma and emergency medicine.

Numerous awards were made for the best posters in various research categories – check out the full list of winners here.
